We also cover the County of Tishomingo in Mississippi. There are currently 178,840 people residing in Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale Counties. WKAX, informally known as 1500 AM Russellville, Alabama is a 24 Gospel radio station that broadcasts in the Russellville and Shoals area on the 1500 AM frequency. It can also be heard over the internet, by accessing its live streaming service. It has a traditional and new school religious formats and its programming is dedicated to lifting up the name of Jesus. It also offers live entertainment shows, contests in which it gives away prizes to radio listeners and short informative spaces with the main current news, and sports.
