LifeJournal - Notes & Lists vs ArcaNotes Usage & Stats
LifeJournal is designed to act as a second brain and support you in managing your projects, your lists, your learnings, etc.
It allows you to effectively organize and re-engage the information/knowledge/resources you accumulate, connect them intelligently, help you manage complexity effectively, and thus boost your projects workflow, learn better, progress better, remember better, etc.
Features include:
- Micro-notes linked by reference to named "nodes"
- Nodes can follow a tree structure
- Dynamic references : there are multiple ways of referencing the same node in notes, each reference type serving a specific purpose. For example, one type of reference can indicate that the note is important in regard to the referenced node. One type of reference can indicate that this is something you want to remember now, while another type of reference can indicate this is something you want to remember later. You can easily transfer one reference from one type to another (useful for time management). The fact that references are typed creates a sort of natural order that is absent in apps that only allow one single type of reference.
- References types are fully customizable, allowing you to create a system tailored to your particular needs
- Interface to easily add "daily" notes like a real journal
- Powerful tool to keep track of all sorts of lists and data (habits, movies you plan to watch/watched, supplements you took, ...)
- Synchronization between devices & Cloud backup
- Real time collaboration

ArcaNotes is a different kind of note-taking app. It's designed for speed of entry ("micro-notes"), makes reviewing feel natural, streamlines sharing, and uses AI to help you organize and retrieve.
ArcaNotes has a small mission and a big mission. The small mission is to make a great note-taking app that is fast, flexible, and aligned with how many of us work today. The bigger mission is for ArcaNotes to become your second brain, the place where you store all of your information. By making it effortless to retrieve, share, and review, your knowledge will be unlocked for you and others.
How is ArcaNotes different?
1. It’s designed for rapid note-taking
* Rather than taking long notes that cover several disparate topics, try using ArcaNotes to take “micro-notes” - short notes, each about one idea.
* As soon as you have something you want to jot down, just enter it, and worry about organizing it (ie, assigning a topic) later.
* The intention is for there to be nothing between your thought and the act of storing it - no friction. Capturing information is as simple as texting yourself.
2. Retrieval and review feel natural
* Notes are displayed like a feed, similar to messaging apps. For many people, scrolling a feed is a more natural way to review and retrieve than clicking through nested folders.
* Notes can be assigned one or more topics, and notes under that topic can be viewed, much like a channel.
3. It encourages you to share your knowledge
* So much knowledge is trapped in our heads and apps. Often, we don’t share it because of the extra work required.
* ArcaNotes aims to change that by making sharing and following feeds of other users’ notes easy. The intent is for a portion of your notes (the ones you want to share) to be opened up so others can quickly scan and review them. It’s a bit like how people routinely scan various message channels to catch up on other teams’ activities.
4. It leverages AI technology to help you be more productive
* ArcaNotes suggests topics that best fit the content of your note, as you type. The goal is to help you work faster by doing some of the thinking about organizing for you.
* Rather than searching by keyword, you can ask your notes a question. ArcaNotes will generate an answer based on the knowledge contained in your notes.
