HOW IT WORKS: To book a ride using your smartphone, simply set your pickup and drop-off address, choose a pickup or drop-off window, and indicate if you're bringing additional passengers. You can also book a ride over the phone by calling and speaking with one of our dispatchers. Your bus fare can be paid in advance on your smartphone with a credit or debit card or on the day of your ride to the bus operator with cash, check, or ticket. Our bus operators do not have change, so exact fare is needed. You will receive an automated call or text reminder a day before your scheduled trip. You will also receive a call or text when your bus operator is on the way and upon arrival. The MATBUS Paratransit rider app lets you track your ride status in real-time! Once the bus operator arrives at your pickup location, they will wait 5 minutes for you to appear. If they arrive early, the bus operator will wait until the start of your pickup window before starting the 5-minute wait period. MATBUS Paratransit is a shared ride service, which means you may not go directly to your destination without your bus operator picking up or dropping off other riders along the way. Questions?
