CTDnyc vs English to Yiddish Translator Usage & Stats

Connect The Dots NYC was born through interviews of unhomed people. Through these interviews it was discovered that some people on the streets are not aware of nearby resources available to provide necessary help. Using this information combined with the prevalent existence of iPhones, the idea of connecting the dots was born. The whole point of this app is to empower anyone with an iPhone, both unhomed and homed, to provide help for themselves or others. We believe that it is paramount to make unhomed people aware of the resources nearby available to help them, however, how they use this information is up to the individual. Our goal is solely to unleash the power of New Yorkers to help their fellow New Yorkers who are looking for help. This is the reason why our app is made for ease of use, there is no registration, no payments, no information collected that can be tied back to you. We solely request your location to pinpoint the closest resource and even then do not store that info. An example would consist of someone going to our app and choosing the most appropriate service needed at that time either for themselves or for someone they are helping. Our app would then locate the closest place and display information such as open and closing times, distance, approximate time to reach, and any other destination-specific information. Having this information, the person could then decide whether or not they want to go to the place, but at this point our job has been completed. We have successfully connected the dots between New Yorkers and the helpful resources that are graciously available.
