W-BACnet vs Motion Platform Usage & Stats
The W-BACnet app has arrived! Upgrade firmware for LumenRadio W-BACnet devices by connecting to and upgrading the LumenRadio Gateway in the network through the app. In the Network map you will find a system overview where you can see signal strength, edit names of wireless nodes as well as seeing the health of the RS485 bus including which BACnet MS/TP address that is connected to that wireless node.
You can also connect to any node in the network and change their name (up to 20 characters).
The W-BACnet app requires W-BACnet firmware 3.1.1 and above, which can be downloaded from the LumenRadio support webpage. Note that you need to install FW 3.1.1 or above on the gateway from the nRF connect app to enable the functionality. It is also required to have at least 3.0.0 or above on all nodes in the network. You will need to update all nodes individually if they are on version 2.2.3. This will be the last time this is required. All future updates can be done by either this app or from the nRF connect app.

Motion.cloud (a.k.a. Motion®) is what building engineers, tenants, owners, and literally everyone in the building wants to use! These are building controls designed for every type of user in (or away from) the building.
The Motion Platform app takes alarms and control to the next level with a full series of push notifications that accompany every Motion® alarm event on your iPhone and iPad. And for iPad specifically, a fullscreen experience makes the Motion Platform app kiosk-mode-ready—no more web browser elements taking up precious space on the screen.
The Motion Platform app keeps your team fully aware of alarm conditions by immediately notifying you when alarm events start, are acknowledged, and are cleared.
Like Motion® in your web browser, the Motion Platform app provides you with:
• The absolute fastest live data for all your tiles (data points) at all your properties
• Data history and live charts for supported data types
• Configuration tools for Motion® hubs, devices, grants (permission sharing), tiles, apps, and more
• Management tools for alarms, and data logging for alarm acknowledgments, clearances, and historical data
• The easiest and most versatile scheduling tools for all writable tiles (e.g. temperature set points, on/off settings, etc.)
Motion.cloud is designed for architects, building engineers, contractors, building automation control hardware distribution providers, property owners, property staff, and all others involved in building automation control installation, management, and procurement.
Motion Hub software layers on top of your existing layer of hardware and makes creating dead-simple, yet robust dashboards for your properties. Motion® uses the same protocols you're already using (BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, etc.) so no proprietary hardware is required. And even better: no programming skills are required (that would make us as hard to use as the other guys) and no messing around with networks, firewalls, and ancient servers in closets running operating systems from decades ago. As long as you have an internet connection, our software takes care of secure access to your controls, all from our cloud—and this app!
This is the cloud-based platform the building automation controls industry has been waiting for. Don't get us wrong—we love our competitors because they make the controls hardware you already know and trust. But we're not a hardware company. We're all about making the best software. Motion®'s cloud-based platform offers simply the best user experience, and it's backed by a state-of-the-art infrastructure a generation ahead of all the others.
