Wireless touch-free re-provisioning
New in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, Apple has extended the Erase Device command with a game changing new feature called Return to Service. This allows all on device steps typically required for re-enrollment after an wipe to be skipped. This means that a user no longer has to select a Language, Region, and WiFi Network on the iPad or iPhone, and the device is automatically reconfigured after the initial wipe.
An app to empower non IT
With Apple's new Return to Service capability, a true zero touch mobile re-provisioning workflow is now available. And with the Return to Service app, this new capability is made available in a secure, managed app. The means that frontline users, managers, and field techs can safely refresh a device... no IT help or trip to a charging cart required.

With the innovative BlueRange Mesh based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), room automation and wireless networking of lighting, sun protection, heating, ventilation, cooling (HVAC) and a wide range of sensors can be flexibly implemented for maximum room comfort.
Functions overview:
- Enrollment of BlueRange Gateways and BlueRange Mesh Nodes
- Positioning of BlueRange Gateways and Mesh Nodes in a floor plan
- Reading out sensor values
- Replacing mesh components
- Configuration of network settings (e.g. DHCP, DNS, NTP time server or static IP)
- Diagnosis of BlueRange Gateways (e.g. connection status)
- Analysis of BlueRange Mesh Nodes in the vicinity
- Collecting mesh components for bulk enrollment via bulk QR code scanner
- BLE radar for locating mesh components in the building
- Locating networks via devices using QR code, Nearby or NFC scan
- Switching between different buildings and organizations
- Switching between different networks within an organization
- Creating and editing buildings, floors and networks
The BlueRange Setup app is primarily aimed at commissioning partners and operators of digital buildings with BlueRange Mesh components.
BlueRange is the digital foundation in buildings, making it possible to implement and provide a wide range of use cases in a smart building. Smart buildings are more energy efficient and thus help to reduce the CO2 footprint in the real estate sector. The BlueRange Mesh can be used to query sensor values in real time and control components in the building. BlueRange thus increases the transparency of the individual components and makes it possible to determine the quality of operation. BlueRange is a WiredScore-accredited solution and provides decisive added value for SmartScore certification.
Access to the BlueRange IoT platform is required to use the BlueRange Setup app.
