Rested HR is a workout rest timer based on heart rate. Never look at the clock again. No need to tap any buttons to start a timer. The app listens to your heart rate and lets you know when you are ready for the next set. Here is how it works: 1. Once launched, the app automatically connects to a Polar Heart Rate sensor via Bluetooth. 2. It displays your current heart rate. 3. You set a desired rested heart rate as a threshold and start your workout. 4. When your current heart rate goes above the threshold, the app goes red. 5. When your current heart rate falls back below the threshold, the app goes green. If you don't want to look at your phone at all, that's fine as well: 1. Turn up the volume or put your headphones on. 2. The app will notify you that you are ready for your next set with a voice command. 3. If you like playing music to get hyped up as I do, no worries; the voice command plays nicely with your music. Feel free to change the rested heart rate whenever you need to during a workout, and the app will adjust. At the moment, Rested HR supports only Polar heart rate sensors. Here is the complete list of supported sensors: • Polar H10 • Polar H9 • Polar Verity Sense • Polar OH 1 Rested HR is suitable both for gym sessions and home workouts. I love to use it with kettlebell circuits, but I also use it for bodyweight and barbell training. It is most useful when the schedule is tight, and I want to do a quick and efficient training session. Happy lifting!
