ASANTe is a social media application which enables users to empower and recognize one another for engagement in service and socially conscious enterprise. ASANTe users can send and receive TCards. When the user creates a TCard, they can use a photo or a short video from their phone as background. To complete a TCard, they must add a message of appreciation or gratitude (text) and Tcredits, a specific small value associated with the TCard. The Tcredits signal the USD amount that ASANTe will instruct the payment processor (Stripe) to send from the user who creates and sends the TCard to the user who receives it. The monetary value transferred from sender to receiver is entirely completed through a payment processor, Stripe.
On ASANTe, users can count the Tcredits as “tokens of appreciation” showing the total value associated with their good efforts. The TCards are stored in their Profiles and other users can see what causes and organizations are supported by their followers.
