Reaction Go/No-go vs EYT Go/NoGo Usage & Stats
Test 'Reaction Go/No-Go' (Go/No-Go paradigm) is a method that allows assessing the performer's ability to respond to one stimulus while inhibiting the response to another. This technique enables the investigation of cognitive control function, specifically the performer's ability to regulate their behavior according to current tasks. During the implementation of differentiated 'Go/No-Go' reactions, time is spent not only on signal transformation in receptors and their transmission through nerves, but also on the analysis of incoming signals and making decisions regarding the necessity of motor actions. In the test execution, the performer is required to respond to a blue circle that extends beyond the boundaries of a white circle. The faster the performer reacts at the moment of crossing the boundary of the white circle, the better the ability is considered. The test task is performed with both the left and right hands. This test allows evaluating not only the ability to discriminate a visual signal but also the ability to discriminate movements of the left or right hand.
At the end of the test, the results are checked for normal distribution (Shapiro-Wilk test). If the values do not conform to the normal distribution law, the worst attempt is discarded, and an additional attempt is added. The program settings allow for selecting the number of attempts from 10 to 40. The higher the number of attempts, the lower the probability of additional attempts. The choice of the number of attempts will depend on the performer's age and professional activity.
Upon completion of the test, the program presents the following indicators: average reaction time, standard deviation, error percentage both overall and separately for each hand, left-to-right hand attempts ratio, and percentage of additional attempts.
Also, in the settings, you can save a JSON backup of your measurements anywhere (Save backup), add measurements from another device (Add backup), replace already saved measurements with new ones (Replace backup), or delete all data (Delete all data).

Early Years Toolbox (EYT) Go/No-Go is an iPad-based assessment of children's inhibition (i.e., ability to control behavioural impulses). In this game, fish and sharks swim across the screen and children are instructed to tap the screen whenever they see a Fish (‘catch the fish’) and refrain from tapping when a Shark appears (‘avoid the sharks’). This game takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.
Scores are presented on the final assessment screen. For more precise research applications, there are options to have the item by item data sent to a user-specified e-mail address or database. For more information, training videos and analysis resources, please visit http://www.eytoolbox.com.au

About the Early Years Toolbox:
The 'Early Years Toolbox' (EYT, for short) is comprised of brief, engaging game-like assessments of children’s self-regulation, executive functioning and vocabulary. These assessments are based on well-established and widely used measures, yet have been adapted and optimised on the basis of 20+ years of research experience working with young children.
