QDoc Virtual Health vs QDoc Usage & Stats
With QDoc, seeing a healthcare professional has never been easier!
HOW DOES QDOC WORK?
The team at QDoc has developed a software that allows patients to be connected to healthcare professionals for virtual video appointments. This service is free for Canadian residents with a valid provincial Health Card, excluding Quebec. The process is as simple as signing up for an account, creating your profile, and filling out a form. From there, our healthcare providers will be notified that you are ready to be seen! The provider that responds to your request is able to view your chart and is then connected directly to you for a audio+video call.
WHO ARE YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS?
Our providers are a team of highly skilled physicians and nurse practitioners who come from various medical backgrounds. They are all licensed and registered to practice medicine in Manitoba and have participated in training to be able to deliver quality care through the virtual QDoc platform.
CAN I GET A PRESCRIPTION?
Once you have been seen by a QDoc provider they are able to prescribe any non-controlled medications that are suitable for your treatment within proper practice guidelines.
HOW CAN QDOC HELP?
QDoc can help with non-emergency episodic medical care. Our healthcare providers can prescribe medications, refer you to a specialist, provide a sick note, and order lab tests.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
QDoc is a free service available to Canadian residents (excluding Quebec residents) that are physically located in Manitoba, Nunavut or NW Ontario and hold a valid provincial health card. It is also free to students at the Red River College who are covered by MSH private insurance.
IS MY INFORMATION SECURE?
QDoc is PHIA/HIPAA secure and follows all necessary security protocols. We take the security of your healthcare information very seriously.
DO I NEED TO BE IN MANITOBA?
At this time QDoc is only available to those located in Manitoba, North Western Ontario or Nunavut at the time of their visit. The College of Physicians and the Manitoba government do not allow Manitoba doctors to see patients that are physically located outside of those areas. We are actively working to expand into other provinces, so please check back with us again.

QDoc is a clinical data-gathering tool, intended for use in behavioral parent training (BPT). Currently this app provides just-in-time adaptive intervention (JITAI) through daily surveys which prompt response from a behavioral health provider; this version aims to help parents of children with ADHD and other disruptive behaviors by providing meaningful “real life” context for the skills learned in BPT. JITAI can help caregivers capitalize on the support, corrections, and help with barriers, that they receive during weekly meetings.)
