The app has been designed to serve as an authorization app for tasks performed within the decentralized GRIDNET Operating System. The default view is the augmented reality view in which QR Intents may be scanned.
Major capabilities are catered around scanning of QR Intents and processing of these. The app allows to generate a new wallet along with a master-private-key comprising a key-chain.
Despite its simplistic looks, the app supports state-of-the art cryptography data-exchange and routing capabilities including onion-routing. It may verify arbitrary operation done in GRIDNET-OS. It may also respond to data-queries and perform various computational tasks locally, directly on the mobile phone at the request of GRIDNET-OS. Such inquiries would typically be a result of user's activity either in Web-UI or Decentralized Terminal Interface (DTI over SSH).
The app allows to view details of the activity which is to be confirmed on the decentralized state-machine.
Sample computational scenario would include generation of multi-dimensional token pool. The token pool would be stored securely on the mobile phone while assets are released by responding to consecutive QR Intents. These assets may be used for arbitrary off-the-chain transactions, including rewarding for data-storage and exchange directly or indirectly (apps running within the Web-UI).
Encryption and authentication among communicating peers are employed at all times.
The app reports current user's balance and maintains connectivity with the decentralized GRIDNET OS virtual machine to account for changes.
Future updates are to include the functionality of issuing transactions directly from the mobile app.
Simple usage:
1) First, set-up your wallet by generating a new private/public key pair - it takes just a single tap, then confirm by holding the virtual fingerprint sensor for a few seconds.
2) The app would automatically attempt to connect with the GRIDNET OS decentralized network and synchronize account's balance.
3) Long-Tap the GRIDNET Halo to switch to standby mode in which the augmented reality view is not active.
4) Scan an QR Intent describing operating which are to be confirmed.
5) The Intent's details view would pop-up automatically with a general description. To see some of the details swipe left/right.
6) When ready confirm changes by holding the Virtual FIngerprint Sensor.
7) The app would prepare a cryptographic signature of the operations and deliver these to machines comprising the GRIDNET OS decentralized network over an encrypted and authenticated Onion-Routed connection.
8) The status of operation (connection, tunneling, processing etc) would be constantly displayed to the user within the UI as a progress bar containing textual information.
After the operation is complete or failed (for whatever reason) user may retry or close the pop-up.
