Caregivers have been described as the “unsung heroes” of our health care system: they are untrained, unpaid and devote so much of their own time to help their loved ones. The role of a caregiver may include providing emotional support, assisting with daily personal tasks, preparing meals, completing household chores, providing transportation and overseeing finances. The mission of the app is to use technology to champion these “unsung heroes” by designing easy and simple tools to assist and support them in their day to day caregiving responsibilities. This app helps them manage daily tasks, care plans, appointments, create a circle of care and helps prevent senior abuse while managing it all in the most optimal manner and much more.. A few high level functions within the app are: . Daily Activities Diary: Plan and log daily caregiving tasks, daily tasks have been pre organized into personal and social tasks to ease diary entries that are easily shareable. Care Plan: Keep your loved one’s daily medications and doctors contact information all in one place. Add image with dosage for each medication for quick identification and to prevent mistakes. Easier access to medical IDs: Quickly and safely upload pertinent medical IDs such as insurance card, medicaid ID for quick and easy access at the pharmacy and medical appointments. Capture and share IDs: Per CDC studies seniors are often susceptible to senior abuse by helpers and others, the app lets the primary caregiver capture identification of all who may be involved in the care. Simple to Use: We designed this app specifically to make caregiving easy, smooth and stress free. Moving between different sections is simple and quick, logging task is with a single tap. The ability to upload images of prescriptions, insurance information makes it fast and simple for a busy caregiver.
