Kidney Transplant Compare vs One Track Health Usage & Stats

IPRO’s Kidney Transplant Compare provides education to adults living with Kidney Disease on kidney transplantation as the preferred treatment option and to support informed-decision making to select a transplant center that is best for them. The use of the Kidney Transplant Compare starts with education on what a kidney transplant is, how to determine if it is the right choice for the person with kidney disease and what their options are regarding a type of transplant. It then leads to the compare portion of the application that allows patients and their families to filter and compare transplant centers in their areas to understand the patient selection criteria, support services offered, and transplant outcome data provided by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR). The compare data is described in common terms and provides information that patients have voiced is important them and their family in choosing a transplant center like; the average wait time for a transplant at that center, how many transplants the center does, if they will accept patients with a higher body weight, or if patients can do their work up in 1-2 days. Users should seek a doctor’s advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions.
