Get Moving. vs Standetch Usage & Stats

Research shows that sitting still for too long every day is bad for our health, and regular reminders to get moving can be very beneficial. The free Get Moving app helps you stay active and energized throughout the day by prompting you to get up and move. The app sends you notifications at regular intervals throughout the day, reminding you to take a break from sitting. But Get Moving doesn't just prompt you to move, each reminder gives you two activities to choose between. These options might include taking a quick walk around your office building or doing push ups. By giving you choices, Get Moving helps keep your movement routine fresh and engaging, so you don't get bored or complacent. Get Moving is very easy it is to use. Simply download the app, set your preferences for when and how often you want to receive notifications, and forget about it until you’re prompted to move. The free version of the app lets you choose among a wide selection of pre-defined activities. You also choose the duration of those activities—do you want the app to count repetitions or time them? For example, you may tell the app if you want to do jumping jacks 10 times or for one minute. To keep it more interesting, you can even set different ranges. For example, if you choose lunges as an activity, and you set the range to give you between 10 and 20 lunges, Get Moving might prompt you to do 12 lunges one time and 18 the next. Upgrade to Pro and you can add new activities to your routine and also set up different routines, such one routine for when you are working from home and one for when you are in the office (and jumping jacks might not be appropriate!). You can also select any activity from your list if you don't like the two options - handy when there's something specific you want to do. You can also optionally add a daily goal for an activity, maybe 100 squats or 50 push ups, and see you progress toward that goal through the day. If you find yourself sitting still for too long, getting stiff and achy, Get Moving is the perfect app for you. It is for anyone who wants to incorporate more movement into their day, but struggles with remembering to do so. With its friendly reminders and engaging options, Get Moving makes it easy and fun to get up and get moving throughout the day.
