MyTreat-Gift Card vs Talent Vision Usage & Stats
MyTreat is a local gift card app that will eliminate the need for physical/plastic gift cards, it eliminates the need to remember to bring gift cards along with you, and eliminates having to remember the balance on the gift cards you’ve received. Most importantly, it will allow local businesses a larger share of the gift card market.

How it will work in general: The app will open with a choice of sending a gift, creating or updating a profile or registering as a business. A user will set up a profile with payment information, they will select their favorite businesses which will be displayed as cards in their wallet, these will show the business logo and the balance on the card (zero for starters). The businesses can be divided into categories (health, grocery, clothing, food etc.).
Business owners will register and pay a monthly fee. They will have to upload their logo and business address to the app.
When sending a gift, a user will look at a friend's profile and see their favorites in their wallet, they will add an amount to one of these cards and attach a quick message to it. This will be sent to the recipient who will open the message to find a balance on one of their favorite business gift cards. This can then be redeemed in person at the business. I envision this being used for small transactions, like treating a long-distance friend to a coffee or lunch at their favorite restaurant. It can be used for a last-minute birthday or congratulations or to cheer someone up.
