Fuqua Check-In vs My Durham City Usage & Stats
This mobile application will assist The Fuqua School of Business in taking attendance to any event. It uses beacons located in classrooms. A users's phone will connect to a beacon in range using bluetooth. Once in range, a user can check into an event usually a classroom. There is also a history page to track past check-ins and provide excuses if marked late or absent. There is also a calendar that will allow you to view future classes and provide excuses for being absent before the class begins. This application will assist The Fuqua School of Business faculty in taking attendance. Events can also be NFC enabled that will allow you to check-in even if bluetooth is turned off. You will have to tap the NFC tag and check-in similar to how you check-in to a sporting event.
To use this application you will need a valid Duke University netid/password. Once logged in you will remain logged in until you explicitly logout. Students will only be allowed to check-in to a course or event they are enrolled in at the specified course time.
