Factoring with Mr. Noor was designed as a tool to assist teachers with teaching quadratic factoring, a large portion of the A-SSE.A.2 common core math standard. As a math teacher for over 10 years, I was frustrated by the lack of factorable quadratics that existed in textbooks. Oftentimes they also didn’t vary enough by difficulty.
This is my attempt to solve both of these problems for teachers.
With this app, Algebra teachers now have access to an endless number of factorable quadratics organized by difficulty. Helpful hints, as well as the factored solution are available at the touch of a button allowing teachers many different ways to implement this tool into their classroom. Students are also now empowered to spend time on their phone or tablet practicing to improve this skill.
