This game style educational app allows the learner to memorize a small number of new geography facts at a time and include old facts to review if desired. This is done by selecting one or more regions to include in questions for practice or when racing. Like paper flashcards, the facts for each selected table are put into a deck of cards, shuffled and then presented to the learner so s/he may pick an answer. Correct answers are greeted with happy pictures and praise, incorrect answers are gently corrected and stay in the deck until the learner answers that question correctly, chooses a new deck of cards or in the case of a race, the clock runs out.  To encourage the student to learn more but also to review old facts, the app has an optional race mode in which only the number of correctly answered questions count towards the high score. Each time a new high score is achieved the student sees a large congratulation screen and, if the adult has permitted, music and an animation of rising balloons to celebrate. The high score and celebration preferences are reset whenever the app is turned off, this is to encourage the user to continue to review and have their achievement celebrated with family or friends. All 50 US States are included and the 5 US Territories which have more than 100 people living there. These 55 Capital names are displayed in a Picker-View which is fun to spin since the rotation speed depends on how fast you swipe it. The student may use 2 fingers to zoom in or out so the region of interest is the desired size. Just like a real test, neighboring oceans and large countries are labeled but other States or Territories are not. To keep things fresh, the pictures on the celebration page (for a new high score) plus the words of encouragement and pictures for each correct answer, are randomly selected from a set of happy phrases and pictures. The app does not connect to the internet so it can be used off-line. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or 3rd party advertisements. The app is fully functional and never expires. The app does not ask the learner for her/his name or other data, it does not collect or send us any data and it does not save any data to the device. This is one of many products we've made that we hope will make learning fun. We hope you, or if downloaded for a different learner, enjoy it!
