The New Innovations mobile app is designed for graduate medical education (GME) Residents and Fellows, and undergraduate medical education (UME) students in today’s clinical learning environment. GME users can utilize Work Hours, Procedure Privileges, Procedure Logging, Evaluations and a QR code scanner for conference attendance tracking. UME users can also access Evaluations and the QR code scanner with more yet to come. Free from the constraint of returning to a desk or workstation, trainees can now engage with the key features of the New Innovations suite anywhere!
Please Note: Most features of New Innovations are accessible and compatible with current mobile web browsers.
The app delivers a secure, persistent log-in that requires users to sign in once, and then only again after 30 days of inactivity. All users must have a valid New Innovations log-in.
GME
Work Hours
Approve hours logged manually or previously scheduled
Add or edit hours of current day or previous 13 days
View scheduled hours up to two days in the future
Select “did not work” as an option if missed scheduled hours
Include date, time and location
See violation details that are not in compliance with ACGME rules
Procedure Privileges
Monitor progress towards procedure targets within your home department
View privileges achieved / completed for other departments
Check procedures listed alphabetically
Verify level of supervision required to conduct a procedure
Procedure Logger
Select appropriate procedure at the correct location
Provide information required by the program
Submit to observer for approval
Review list of logged procedures and see confirmation status
Evaluations
Available for residents, fellows and faculty
Complete and request on-demand evaluations
Direct Observation Assessments
Conduct on-the-spot assessments based on published EPAs.
Avoid supervisor log-in and receive a summary or send a request to supervisors to complete.
