App Features
• Watch and timeshift live digital television on your iPad or iPhone
• Record TV shows directly to your iPad or iPhone - even when the EyeTV Sat>IP app is running in the background
• Use iTunes to transfer recorded shows to your Mac or PC
• Program guide for up to seven days with detailed show information and feature to share recommendations via email or Twitter
• Teletext (iPad)
Important Notes
• The availability and amount of program data varies by broadcaster.
• Performance may be limited by network bandwidth. 802.11n Wi-Fi is recommended.
• EyeTV Sat>IP supports MPEG-2 and MPEG-4/H.264 video in standard definition as well as DVB radio, if available. High definition channels or encrypted programs are not supported.

You can run tvheadend on a linux device, plugin in a tv card and an antenna and you have full a free DVR with bowerbird. This app is designed for simplicity and ease of set up. The UI should be familiar if you have used any DVR. Browse the program guide, watch live tv. Play your finished recordings and skip ads (30s skip) with a swipe while watching a recording, swipe back for 10 second skip back.
