Podcasts
The workday can be full and the road long, so Ref Tools also provides you with some educational entertainment. You can listen to podcasts, including the popular Chilling with Jens podcast, directly in the app. So, take a break and chill out a bit while learning something new about refrigeration.
More about Refrigerant Slider
Refrigerant Slider, now a part of Ref Tools, helps you quickly calculate the pressure-to-temperature ratio for more than 80 refrigerants, including natural refrigerants such as ammonia and transcritical CO2.
Refrigerant Slider also provides you with information about each refrigerant, including Global Warming Potential (GWP) and Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP). You can switch between the IPCC AR4 and AR5 values, where AR4 values are used in relation to the European F-Gas regulations.
Refrigerant Slider’s P/T calculations use extended curve–fitting models based on Refprop 10 results. You can also see both dew and bubble point for refrigerants with glide.
Streamline your workflow
Ref Tools goes beyond just providing quick access to helpful tools; it helps you save time by allowing you to track your most visited service sites and save unique settings for each one. Simplify each service call with ease.

“F-Gas Solutions”, developed by Climalife, is a simple and educational application intended for professionals to deal with European regulation (EU) 2024/573 known as “F-Gas III” which entered into force on March 11, 2024 and relating to fluorinated greenhouse gases.
This application offers different tools:
- A load calculator to know the GWP of the process fluids (refrigerants, hydrocarbons, gas) that you use in your equipment and obtain the load in t Eq. CO2. Two essential criteria in the F-Gas regulations, in particular for the mandatory labeling of the charge on equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.
- A leak detection module to inform you about the frequency of leak detection checks necessary to carry out depending on the type of process fluid used. Leak checks are in fact mandatory for all refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pump and electrical switching equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.
- A “Climalife Certified F-Gas Solutions” module to inform you about all the process fluids available on the market and the solutions we recommend for new and existing equipment, in accordance with F-Gas regulations.
Depending on the type of application (Air Conditioning, Heat Pumps, Domestic Refrigeration, Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration, Transport/Automotive, Fire Protection, Foams, Aerosols and Electrical Switches), and/or the equipment selected whether it is new or existing, you will find the solution adapted to your needs.
Many process fluids are included in the application such as:
Refrigerants such as:
- HFOs: R-1234yf, R-1234ze, R-1336mzz(E), R-1132a, R-1224yd…
- HFO / HFC: R-448A, R-449A, R-450A, R-452B, R-454B, R-454C, R-455A, R-513A, etc.
- HFCs: R-23, R-32, R-134a, R-227ea, R-404A, R-407A, R-407F, R-410A, R-507A, R-508B, etc.
- Hydrocarbons: R-170 (ethane), R-290 (propane), R-600a (isobutane)
- Ammonia or even CO2
Special gases for electrical switches: g3, SF6…
Gases for blowing agents: Solstice® GBA (HFO 1234ze), Cyclopentane, DME, N-Butane, Isopentane T, N-pentane T, Isobutane…
Gases for aerosols: Propane, CO2, Propylene, DME…
Gases used in fire protection: FK-5-1-12, HFC-227eaFE, HFC 23T, HFC 125T…
