AstrologerXP vs Mars & More - Astrology Charts Usage & Stats
AstrologerXP is a powerful program for professional astrologers. It can create Natal chart, Transit, Horary, Synastry, Solar and Lunar return charts, directions and progressions with any coefficient. It uses 10 planets, Lilith, True node, Arabic Parts, all the known asteroids (thousands), comets, satellites etc. Large cities and time zones database includes more than 14000 geographical points. AstrologerXP calculates positions of astrological points with the highest precision. AstrologerXP is compatible with your desktop astrology software.
Its key features are:
1. "ANY SPACE BODY" that is known to the astronomers can be easily added to your chart. These bodies are 10 planets, Lilith, True node, Arabic Parts, all the known asteroids (thousands), comets, satellites etc
2. "HIGHEST PRECISION" Only original high precision ephemerides from JPL NASA laboratory are used in the application.
3. "ANY ASPECTS" You can completely customize aspects in aspect tables, its numbers, values, orbises and its appearance in chart. Each method such as Natal chart or Transit has its aspect table and you can easily enable/disable some aspects or change orbises, colors, line widths, symbols etc.
4. "LARGE CITIES AND TZ DATABASE" This means that the database is large enough for professional use (more than 14000 geographical points).
5. "DATABASES SUPPORT" You can easily install SEVERAL databases in ".SFcht" or ".zbs" format. A database can be installed into the application shared folder via iTunes (see build-in Help, section 1.1 for details). This can be a large database such as SADC or AstroDataBank. Or a small one, for instance, with your clients or friends. You can easily open any database installed. You can also export all the databases installed to use the data on your desktop astrological software. AstrologerXP has also a search engine to work (find, delete and store items) with large databases.
6. "ALL THE NECESSARY METHODS" Natal chart, Transit, Synastry, several types of directions and progressions including directions and progressions with custom coefficient, Horary, Solar and Lunar returning.
Important! The build-in ephemerides of main planets are limited to 1800-2100 interval. If you want 3000BC - 3000AD interval ephemerides, please download the file:

using Firefox browser (the site has fatal issues with Safari browser), rename it to "linxm3000p3000.406"(case sensitive) and copy the file to the AstrologerXP shared directory.

Natal, Synastry, Composite and Transit Chart Wheels, Transit times for any day, an Ephemeris with a month's data per page, and printed astro data below wheels. Can show minor aspects. Choices of orbs, planets and House System and sidereal option. There is Mars and Venus themed art that updates daily, Mars rover photos, plus the astronomy picture of the day. The app is free with no ads or sign up and Open Source.
On the Chart tab there are choices of Planets/Aspects now or a Natal Chart as well as the selected person’s astro Transits for any date/time. There is a partner option for synastry and composite charts as well as Composite + Now or any Date. Information displays on chart tab but buttons above the info allow wheel charts or transit time option for full screen view of one chart with data below. In the transit times view one can quickly move between days. Transits by settable orbs(narrow, medium or wide) show in chart tab with buttons for a transit chart wheel and to see transits by time of day. The transit date picker defaults to now to make it easiest to get current astro transits. Personal transit time display and mundane can use astro symbols or show as plain text. There is an option to see minor aspects/transits in settings. The names of people or charts entered display on right side of chart room and just tap to move between them.
There is a choice in Chart Settings of Wide, Medium or Narrow orbs for Aspects, Synastry and Transits - separate for each. Things to show to set on and off include the planets through Pluto and Chiron, Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta, Pholus, Eris, and the North & South Node and Lilith(Black Moon) as well as the MC, Vertex and ASC. Minor aspects can be enabled, they show in data area below wheels but not in center of wheels. If birth location is known, users can search from 48,000 cities, Houses can be shown with a choice of 7 systems including Placidus, Whole and Equal. If 48k cities is still not sufficient, after a city is picked, latitude and longitude can be edited to any coordinates to fine tune the location or pick a brand new one. There is also a toggle for Tropical on or off - off is sidereal and a choice of sidereal system will show: Lahiri, Fagan-Bradley, and Raman. All chart data is saved only locally on the device and is deleted if app uninstalls.
On the Planets tab there is a mundane option to show transit times of day, when planets change sign, and move between days. This uses the user's things to show choices and will include minor aspect times as well if they are enabled. On Chart tab when transit times are shown, the mundane information is shown below the transits times for that person. There is also an Ephemeris option to get a month's planetary data at a time and move between months. The ephemeris starts on the date selected on the planets tab. A city can also be added on the planets tab to easily see sky now. 48K cities available. The planets or aspects on any date and time can be shown without a birth entry on this tab.
There is a resources view to help people learn more about the information in the chart room who are newer to Astrology.
The Art tab features five pictures a day each of Mars and Venus themed art spanning centuries from classical to impressionists from a famous New York museum which has put them in public domain. Users can save images they like to their library.
There are five Curiosity Mars rover photos each day on the Space Tab and an option to see the Astronomy Picture of the Day.
The app has a Sun sign reading use material by Evangeline Adams with ghost writer Aleister Crowley from a classic 1927 astrology work, Your Place in the Sun.
