The Military CYPRES Calculator app is the electronic equivalent of the Military CYPRES circular calculator ("whiz wheel"). In the event you do not want to carry or do not have access to the circular calculator, the MCC app in your smart phone or tablet will perform the task of calculating the pressure at the target DZ for use with the Military CYPRES in Operational Mode. The function is straight forward, similar to the usage of the circular calculator: Input the actual DZ "altimeter setting" (either in inHg or mBar, unit is determined automatically by the app), and the elevation of your intended Drop Zone (or Virtual Drop Zone if you need an alternate activation altitude). The CALCULATE button uses these two values to determine the proper Military CYPRES setting. In addition, the app displays the MSL activation altitude for the 4 standard Military CYPRES versions. The Military CYPRES Calculator App is an alternative to the Circular and Digital calculators, as well as our on-line calculator. See www.SSK.us for further info.
