Patient Journal vs Embrace Health Tracking Usage & Stats
Being a patient or having a loved one in the hospital can be stressful and confusing. You are in a new environment with lots of information being given to you. There is so much to think about and to process – the names of your doctors and nurses, new medications, scheduled procedures, questions to ask, and so much more. It can be a bit daunting.
The Josie King Foundation created this Patient Journal app for you to help keep this important information organized. It includes an email feature so you can keep a permanent record of the information or share it with others.

Embrace is essential for families. Our app helps you keep track of the most important thing in the world: your family's health.
Track anything about your family's health, including injuries, illnesses, allergies, symptoms, medical or dental visits, medication changes, questions for your healthcare professional, and anything else. You can even add pictures, reminders, appointment times, and go back to add follow-ups. Best of all, we provide you with 10 profiles so you can easily switch between 10 family members (people and pets).
We're always improving! We've added new modules for custom symptoms, vitals and measurements, period tracking, pain tracking (including a rotatable pain map), challenging behaviour, and epilepsy. Our signature Family Health Tracker is always on, but you can turn these extra modules ON or OFF as you like, choosing to use them if needed or to keep them out of view.
It's one thing to input information, but the most important thing is how it can help once you've done so. We've gone the extra mile to make sure your data works for you! Included in the app is an integrated calendar, where you can see entries across all profiles and easily click-in to see more details (or to edit or update). We've created a reports section where you can email or text your healthcare professional with any of your records. You'll love our Insights section, where you can see charts, increases, decreases, trends, and correlations, and customize what data you want to compare. Our period tracker predicts your next cycles and gives you a heads-up if it notices any correlations between your period and your symptoms.
We hope you'll find incredible value in our app. We built Embrace out of a personal need, and have consulted with hundreds of people with lived experience in order to make the best possible product for you, our valued customer. There's more, however: you'll also receive access to all new modules that we add to Embrace and you'll have the opportunity to suggest improvements and request new features- we work for you!
What makes us different? Compare us to any competitor and you will notice several important differences: We're less expensive, we're the only app that lets you write descriptions in sentences as opposed to only clicking on a symptom scale (though we have those too), we're focused on what a parent and family would want in order to keep their family health organized, we build custom modules after consulting with people with lived experience and, most importantly, we don't take or sell your data. We've built Embrace to keep your personal health data on YOUR device; we do not bring it onto our servers. We do this because we care about your privacy and we have no intent to sell your data (we don't even have it).
We hope you absolutely love the Embrace app; we built it for you!
