Deduce vs Slide A Word Usage & Stats

Deduce is a fun way to learn and visualize the process of logical deduction. It’s a uniquely challenging game combining logic, vocabulary, and spelling skills (with a small element of luck) played with words. Your goal is to discover a hidden mystery word with as few guesses as possible. Deduce acts as an assistant who enforces the rules, provides hints, keeps track of your progress, collects statistics, manages saved games, and (for Game Center users) awards achievements. Reviewers have said: "One of my favorite games", "Other games get installed-played-uninstalled, but this one stays", "Challenging and addictive", "Very original and lots of fun", "I'm completely hooked", "Hope I can stop playing it soon!" Features: 1. Many thousands of possible games (more than 20,000) 2. Comfort level - Deduce can be as easy or challenging as you like, with optional features to assist your thinking. Play with easier 5 letter words or more difficult 6 letter words. NEVER ANY ADS TO DISTRACT YOU! 3. Game Center integration. Statistical results, scores, and saved games are associated with the active Game Center player. If you are not logged into Game Center, you may supply your own player name for separate game tracking, or play anonymously. If you use Game Center, scores are reported to Classic, Novice, and Puzzle leaderboards. A Champions leaderboard ranks the overall quality of your play over time. Achievements may be earned based on the quality and persistence of your game play. As you earn Deduce achievements discover 50 19th century literary giants of the western world, who were also masters with words. A portrait medallion, with a biography link, is awarded for each achievement -- collect them all! 3. Mystery Word definitions. When you finish a game of Deduce, a definition of the mystery word is provided. Increase your vocabulary as you play more games. Definitions come from’s Apple’s downloadable dictionaries or Wiktionary, whichever is available. 4. Game records. Save your games automatically or selectively. Create beautifully formatted PDFs of your games for sharing or printing. 5. Preferences. Use the Settings App to specify global options for Deduce, such as autosave (which automatically saves a limited or unlimited number of your completed games). 6. Easy sharing with friends or other devices. Find a game really challenging? You can challenge friends to find the same mystery word by sharing a Deduce game number via Airdrop, Messages, or email. Deduce also plays well on a shared device. Each family member can play using their own name or Game Center account with separate saved games, statistics, and (for Game Center users) achievements. 7. A polished user experience with improved marking and simpler game play. Use letter dials or a keyboard to enter your guesses. On an iPhone, enlarge guess list for easier manipulation. Reorder your guesses to see more potential patterns. Having trouble thinking of words? Use the Suggest button! Need advice about your game play? Tap on Sherlock for tips and encouragement. And check out the help info to learn about letter frequencies and common suffixes. 8. Select your favorite photo as a backdrop for playing Deduce, or use one of our two built-in backdrops.

Download the free version to try out now! Slide A Word is a new variation on the "spell words with random letters" genre. In addition to finding words that can be spelled with the available letters, you also need to unscramble the letters to form the words, using the classic slide puzzle game action. Multiple game variations are provided, based on the length of the words that must be found and the game duration. You may also play in an un-timed mode where you can look for words as long as you want. Several different color schemes are provided for variety, and you can even create and import your own color schemes using the Pattern Artist app (or Pattern Artist Free). When you complete a particularly successful game, you can challenge a friend via email to find more words than you did. When your friend receives the email, they can tap on an attachment to open and play the exact same game. (They can play the game on either the free version of the app or the full version.) When they finish, they are informed whether they found fewer or more words than you did, and they have an option to report back the result (although it is up to them whether they actually email the results back to you). You can tap on letters to move them (towards the space), but to really excel at the game, you will need to get the hang of dragging your finger, which instantly moves touched pieces. (Note that you don't drag the pieces - you cause the piece under your finger to move toward the space. You could think of it as dragging the space rather than pieces.) Whether you want a quick word de-scrambling game or a longer and more relaxed vocabulary-building challenge, Slide A Word is ready to slide into action!
