Sailors can keep their digital logbook with just a few clicks while sailing
With Logzoon you can easily record all events with time and position while sailing:
Set sails, wind, clouds, engine, waypoints, anchoring, buoy ...
One tab generates a PDF with all the information, which can also be sent by e-mail.
Full data protection: All data remains on the device, no data is sent to any servers.
Operating is simple and optimised for quick entries, the pages are clearly laid out and everything superfluous has been omitted.
From the integrated map screenshots can be saved under ‘Photos’.
This is how it works:
- Before the cruise: Enter crew list, yacht data and destination
- When it starts: Simply start the cruise
- Writing the logbook: A clear list to tab on in order to set sails, engine on/off, enter course, waypoints, clouds, wind ...
- And even more: mooring in the harbour, dropping anchor, mooring at a buoy
- Each entry is given a timestamp and the current position
- The logbook can be saved as PDF and shared with others

Please note, that the app will principally run on WiFi only iPads, but it is quite limited on these devices. Even if you use NMEA as your location source, automatic logging and track recording will likely reliably only happen while the app is in the foreground. You can still do manual entries, of course. To unleash the full potential you need a device with a gps receiver.
