Built in the 1930's, this golf course offers old, mature trees lining each fairway - making accuracy an absolute must on the 5,539 yard course. In addition to the narrow fairways, small greens make for a challenging round. USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 66.9 and 111, respectively. A hilly terrain with a beautiful creek meandering through the course make this a very scenic golf course. Highland Park Golf Course has served as the host course for the Illinois High School Association's Girls State Championship. Golf Digest Places to Play has given Highland Park a 3 Star Rating. We look forward to seeing you at Highland Park. Prairie Vista Golf Course The City of Bloomington opened the Roger Packard-designed Prairie Vista Golf Course on May 17, 1991. The course, which is an American Contemporary Style, measures 6,745 yards from the Championship Tees and 5,224 yards from the Forward Tees. USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 72.2 and 129, respectively. Bentgrass tees, greens and fairways make this golf course a treat to play. Water hazards are located on 16 of the 18 holes. Other amenities include; a large practice putting green, a large practice chipping green (with practice sand bunker) and a grass driving range; A full-line Golf Shop offers golf equipment and apparel at discount prices. Prairie Vista was host to the 1997 NCAA Division I Women's East Regional and has been the host course for the Illinois High School Association's Class A Boys State Championship since 1993. Prairie Vista Golf Course is a Golf Digest "Places to Play" 4-Star Golf Course. The Den at Fox Creek The Den at Fox Creek became the City of Bloomington's third golf course when it opened on August 1, 1997. This Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course measures 6,926 yards from the Palmer Tees and 5,345 yards from the Forward Tees. USGA Course Ratings and Slope Ratings are 72.9 and 128, respectively. Bentgrass tees, greens and fairways compliment the Wild Prairie Grasses which grow in the rough to make a picturesque Scottish Links Style golf course. The course features 131 strategically placed sand traps, making the extremely wide fairways even more attractive. Water hazards are located on 9 of the 18 holes. Other amenities include an extremely large practice putting green, a large practice chipping green (with practice sand bunker) and a very large grass driving range with several target greens. A full-line Golf Shop offers golf equipment and apparel at discount prices. The Den at Fox Creek has become the host golf course for the Illinois High School Association's Class AA Boys State Championships. Mr. Palmer himself shot 74 during his Grand Opening Round.
