Klassische, rein audiogrammbasierte Anpassungen verstärken lediglich den mechanischen Reiz und ziehen nicht die psychoakustische Dimension des Hörvermögens in Betracht. Da aber das eigentliche Hören zentral im Gehirn durch die Sprachmustererkennung stattfindet, hilft die „Santiago Fit“-App dem Hörakustiker dabei, individuelle kognitive Einstellungen vornehmen, die das Spracherkennungsvermögen des Kunden berücksichtigt.
Durch die Ausrichtung am HQ und dem isophonenbasierten Verstärkungsbedarf kann der Akustiker bestimmen, ob die individuelle Einstellung des Hörgeräts optimal der Hörleistung des Kunden entspricht. Neben der stabilen Anpassqualität kann auch die Wahl des richtigen Geräts leichter getroffen werden.
