Scope Defender vs Roof Ventilator Usage & Stats
Scope Defender is designed to help roofing contractors, adjusters, and appraisers with documentation pertaining to insurance claims. Scope defender has loads of information on shingles, tile, engineering reports, videos and other great content. The code generator section can be used to produce code documents for claims in less than 10 seconds. The product identification tool gives you access to discontinuation letters, old brochures, and other documents related to that shingle. Scope Defender is something that we feel everyone should have in their tool belt when working on roofing claims.

Our application uses two inputs (one required): Attic Space Net Free Area and Intake Ventilation Net Free Area. You will have to calculate those two inputs on your own. Once the calculations are complete, enter the inputs into the application and find instant pertinent information calculated by our application that helps design your ventilation system to be within building code limits.
Roof attic vent calculator Provides:
-All code requirements per your attic space size based on the range of 1/300-1/150
-How many exhaust vents, or linear footage ridge vent need to be installed to be within code range and function; take a screenshot and print! We even used a white background as not to waste printer ink.
-Lets you know if your current ventilation system is within code range
-The amount of needed changes you need to get within code range
-Amounts (pieces or linear feet) of different types of products (rvo-38,AF-50, multiple ridge vents, birdholes, soffit vents, roof top intake strip vent) required to achieve balance of Intake Net Free Area and Exhaust Net Free Area, as well as notifications as to whether or not your system will function.
-Complete with a work backwards section that allows your roofers, or you, to enter the current amount of vents and notify you if it is within building code range and has enough Intake net free area.
- Has a modified ventilation system section, "New Total NFA," that tells you if your additional added Intake NFA fits within the building code range and subsequently provides you with the needed ventilation products and the amount required to provide a functional system.
