Kagi for Safari vs Vinegar - Tube Cleaner Usage & Stats

Due to limitations in the Safari browser, Kagi cannot be set as your default search engine. Instead, this extension intercepts your request to your default search engine selected in Safari and redirects to Kagi, creating a seamless search experience. It works in Private Browsing as well. Please note that some requests may still be sent to your default search engine due to this limitation, although the redirect will always be successful. Kagi search is a quick, user-centric, 100% privacy-respecting search engine with results augmented by non-commercial indexes and personalized searches. It has a clean, high-performance user interface with only the most relevant results and no telemetry, no ads and no collection of private information.

Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag. It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and allows videos to play in the background when set to audio-only quality. Note: The phrase 'can read and alter webpages' in the permissions section is just an unfortunate choice of words. Vinegar needs access to the webpage to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy! (Also, do check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's essentially a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites except YouTube.)
