xade finder | Colorimeter vs Color Identifier Colorimeter Usage & Stats
xade finder provides different modes (see below regarding compatibility):
Picker mode
------------
Pick a color from the live stream and adjust the color in CIE L*a*b, sRGB and other pickers.
Nano mode
-----------
Attach xade nano to your iPhone camera and turn your iPhone into a high precision color measurement device.
Microscope mode
------------------
Switch to microscope mode and select between different zoom factors (5x/10x/15x).
Recommendation: use xade nano for well lighting and sharp images with the hassle free fixed focus condition.
Measure tiny details using the microscope mode with activated ruler.
Cube mode
-----------
Place your iPhone on the xade cube and turn your iPhone into a high precision color measurement device.
Card mode
-----------
Use your own setup to measure color accurately or simply find matching colors in daylight on the window ledge.
Using xade card, you have a credit card size color measurement device always with you.
The CIE L*a*b result is dE00 compared to colors in selectable color databases:

(1) Average deviation of the average of 10 consecutive measurements on the white BCRAII tile. Measured with xade cube and xade finder using an iPhone 13 Pro, xade nano using an iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro.
(2) Inter instrument agreement for deviation from manufacturing standard was measured using the 12 standard BCRAII tiles using different cubes, different cards and an iPhone 13 Pro and an iPhone 14, an iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 for xade nano respectively.
Others sometimes measure only on a BCRAII subset.
