North Cowichan is home to a rich mix of flow, downhill, gravel and cross country trails for mountain biking mixed in with a myriad of hiking trails taking you to amazing vistas and vantage points among our Forest Reserves. Our key hiking and mountain biking destinations include Maple Mountain (first area featured in this app), Mount Tzouhalem (recently added) and Mount Prevost. Combine this with additional hiking and equestrian opportunities possible on Mount Richards and we have opportunities close to all residents. The first map published in the app is for the Maple Mountain trail network. Located between Maple Bay and Crofton, Maple Mountain is a rich mountain for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and equestrian. This area features great sanctioned trails and awesome vistas of the area. Some app features include: trail descriptions, elevation profiles, dynamic scale, compass tool, and location icon (GPS).
