RoomMe vs Wittit Usage & Stats
The #1 Roommate App - Now in New York City.
RoomMe was built by college students who have gone through the daunting process of filling out surveys, giving up half-way through, defaulting to random roommate assignments, and regretting that decision for the whole year. Having experienced these issues ourselves, we want to ensure every student finds their perfect roommate and kicks off their college experience right.
Description:
As one of our first users, Mikki, and hundreds of other users have mentioned, searching for your perfect roommate has never been easier with RoomMe. Whether you're looking for an apartment, room, or a roommate, our app offers a seamless experience, combining the best features of existing roommate finder and apartment finder apps.
Coming soon: Sublet, Sublease, and Relet
Whether you are leaving for an exchange program, studying abroad, or your room is empty during winter and summer breaks, RoomMe is the place to list and find your room. Save upwards of $7,000 by avoiding paying rent for your spare room.
Users First:
“RoomMe removed the anxiety from picking a roommate. It made me less worried about what kind of person i’d end up with and more excited about who to pick! I never thought I would be in a position to hand select the perfect living partner for me before RoomMe!” - Mikki Suraphel

College students have long been forgotten when it comes to building tools that will make their lives easier. Do you know why? Well, it's because you're broke. Never fear, here at Wittit we are building ways to make your life on campus easier and to connect you to the people and businesses that are directly around you. The best part? Keep those last few dollars for things that matter. Like alcohol or sending your ex flowers on their birthday! (You've got to move on! We've had this talk. Plenty of fish!)
What is Wittit?
A college student exclusive marketplace app aimed at connecting students to each other and to local businesses in meaningful ways that will make your life easier.
What We Do Now:
1. Rentals - Wittit lists all rental homes and apartments that are available to be rented by college students near your campus. Wittit connects you directly with the property managers so you can find a place quickly and safely. We also allow students to rate and review their homes and property managers, giving transparency to students that otherwise does not exist.
2. Roommates - Looking for a roommate? No more Craigslist or Facebook nightmares! Find and chat safely with other students at your campus who are also looking for roommates!
3. Sublease – Headed out of town for the summer or to Italy to study abroad? List your room on Wittit for other students to find and rent out while you’re gone!
3. Greek Life: Each fraternity and sorority on campus have their own page that is run directly by members of that house! Now, members from each house can post upcoming events, promote their house, or anything else they want that will show everyone else on campus what their house is all about. Looking to join a greek house? Now you can get more info about each one before showing up to rush!
What Campuses is Wittit On?
Arizona State University, University of Arizona, University of Texas Austin, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Florida State, University of Colorado Boulder, Colorado State University, and Penn State!
This is only the beginning for Wittit! We aim to fundamentally change how college students interact with their community on a daily basis! Join us for the ride!
