Hieroglyphic Alphabet Tutor is an app to teach you the phonetic alphabetic sounds and syllabic sounds associated with the basic 'alphabet' of Egyptian hieroglyphs. Here you will find the basic forty eight symbols associated with most letters of the Latin alphabet and the most common syllables.  You will learn the basic hieroglyphic numerals from one to ten million including common fractions. You will learn the complex form of hieroglyphic numerals from one to ten million. You will learn both the masculine and feminine form of the Ordinals 'first' through 'tenth'. You can switch between Pronunciation and Meaning to study both in the Numerals section. You will learn hieroglyphic determinatives as well. Determinatives or semagrams (semantic symbols specifying meaning) are placed at the end of a word. These mute characters serve to clarify what the word is about, as homophonic glyphs are common. If a similar procedure existed in English, words with the same spelling would be followed by an indicator that would not be read, but which would fine-tune the meaning. A great app to memorize the basic sounds of these hieroglyphs and identify what these symbols represent as real world objects of ancient Egyptian culture.
