Strategy Street vs ByDesign: ToDo List & Calendar Usage & Stats

Strategy Street is an app for high-level business executives and policymakers to connect with their peers for strategic advice and professional development. It is minimalist in its approach and does five things: (i) allows text messaging and video and audio calls, (ii) sharing knowledge resources and strategic perspectives, (iii) submission of briefing requests on topics of interest, (iv) voting on briefing requests, and (v) topic briefings by industry experts. Strategy Street has been developed by a team of professionals from business, policymaking, technology, and design backgrounds. Existing professional networking apps and platforms suffer from the following significant constraints: (i) Networks tend to grow rapidly and soon become unmanageable. (ii) There is a problem of information overload as large professional networks give rise to a firehose of content. (iii) Scheduling calls or consultations with network contacts takes time and effort. (iv) Professionals have limited control over the knowledge being shared on the network. (v) It becomes challenging to reach out to experts outside one's professional network for expert consultations. Strategy Street addresses the problem of unmanageable networks by limiting the number of peers in any given group to 150. This number is derived from Robin Dunbar's research on personal relationships, which suggests a limit to the number of people with whom we can maintain stable social relationships. This limit seems to be around 150 people. Beyond this number, we start to see a decline in the quality of our relationships. Being an exclusive peer-to-peer group, the quality of strategic advice and knowledge shared is of high value. Moreover, professionals in the network can request topic briefings, ensuring that knowledge sharing is demand-driven. Finally, the app facilitates topic briefings by leading industry experts.
