MyDrumClick is a metronome app designed by and for drummers who want to improve their playing. Non-drummers may also enjoy this ad-free app, as it features all the basic metronome capabilities one would expect.
In the Metronome tab you will find a customisable and easy-to-use metronome. With a clean interface, you can:
- Adjust the metronome tempo, by means of rotating a knob, with swipeable buttons or even tapping your desired tempo.
- Change the number of beats of every measure.
- Choose your preferred animation for the metronome: a pendulum-like oscillator, illuminating blocks or a simple beat counter.
'Fills & Rolls' is the more drumming-oriented section of MyDrumClick. Here, drummers can keep a list of all the rudiments, rolls and fills they want to learn or have already learned but want to get better at. Each rudiment consists of a sequence of strokes and rests. Strokes can be either hand strokes or foot strokes. You can even choose whether your hand strokes are accented notes, ghost notes or ordinary notes. MyDrumClick also allows you to attach a tempo to each rudiment in case you want to keep track of the highest speed you've managed to play it consistently. Or maybe that tempo represents the golden bpm around which that rudiment should be played to sound good. It's up to you!
