Aguardio Connected Solutions vs KGateway Usage & Stats
This app is designed to collect data from Aguardio Connected Solutions, and to join Aguardio Gateways with Aguardio Leak Sensors. The purpose of the Aguardio Leak Sensor is to alert to water waste in toilets.
The Aguardio Leak Sensor is installed on the toilet’s water inlet pipe, and it sends an alarm when a toilet is leaking water down the inner backside of the toilet pan. These alarms are gathered by the Aguardio Gateway and the app.
The user of the app can collect this data by activating the ‘Search and collect’ function, by being in proximity of the devices.
The app also assists the user with the first-time setup in the ‘Set up new device’ menu. The user can connect an Aguardio Gateway to Aguardio Leak Sensors (up to ten) when on site. When connecting these, the user must check whether the already installed Aguardio Leak Sensors are within range of the already installed Aguardio Gateway, the signal strength is visible in the ‘Set up new device’ function. Once joined together, this cannot be undone.
The app contains a help function with links to external contact pages.
Water resources are under pressure from population growth and climate change – read more about how Aguardio’s Sensors can help people be aware of water waste when it happens, by visiting www.aguardio.com.

KGateway is a configuration app, through which you can configure the BLE/Wi-Fi gateway launched by KKM. This app supports configuration of the following parameters:
1. Wi-Fi connection information.
2. BLE scan parameters, filter parameters.
3. HTTP or MQTT server information connected by the gateway.
After provision by the app, the gateway(BLE/Wi-Fi) can connect the BLE Beacon/Sensor devices, and can report the sensor data from Beacon/Sensor devices to the cloud.
Why does this app need location permission?
Because the app needs to scan the SSID information of the KGateway when configuring the KGateway for the first time, and the location permission is required for IOS to scan the Wi-Fi SSID information.
Why does this app use the HTTP not HTTPs protocol?
This app only uses HTTP protocol to connect to the KGatway(WiFI-BLE gateway) for provision. Because the KGateway's internal resources are limited, the device only supports the HTTP protocol. In addition, because the app will only perform provisioning when the KGateway is used for the first time, and the app and the KGateway device must be under the same Wi-Fi router during provisioning, the security risk of using the HTTP protocol for Provisioning is controllable.
