Public Safety Library vs RFinder WW Repeater Directory Usage & Stats

The Public Safety Library mobile app is intended for use by public safety personnel engaged in national, state, and local emergency radio communications. Public Safety Library enables users to store and access interoperable communications field operations information on their mobile devices. Electronic field operations guides (eFOGs) include rules and regulations for use of nationwide and other interoperability channels, tables of frequencies and standard channel names, and other reference material. These technical references are used for emergency communications planning and by radio technicians responsible for radios used in disaster response. Downloading eFOG app packages from the online Library to your Bookshelf gives you easy access to public safety communications information for your area, providing a content index to references, tables, charts, and maps. Navigation links allow you to jump directly to regional quick references as well as add customizable bookmarks called Favorites to develop your own personalized access to critical information for your territory. Once in the Bookshelf, you can use an eFOG app package in the field as an offline reference, without the need of cellular or data connection. Public Safety Library was developed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) under the Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP).

From the repeater detail screen, any repeater that has an Echolink node attached just touch the number and if you have the EchoLink app installed it will launch to that node automatically for you. Our repeater locator database is growing daily. Access to the Directory is included for one year then it will be an annual subscription for $9.99, and your subscription works for all platforms.... Each purchase of a new platform advances your annual to a year from that new purchase date. The application accesses our Worldwide Repeater Directory and scanner directory for Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) but only stores information for repeaters within approximately 80 miles (125 km) from your location on your handheld at any one time, saving you room on your device and allowing distance calculation and mapping features to operate smoothly. It uses geolocation either via cell tower triangulation, GPS or manual location entry (so you can look up the repeaters you will use on vacation or business trips, etc.).
