STC Turtle Tracker app analytics for March 10

Sea Turtle Conservancy’s (STC) Turtle Tracker App lets you follow the migrations of sea turtles that have been tagged with a satellite tracking device from nesting beaches, in-water research, and rehabilitation centers. Maps are updated as new data become available for active turtles. Follow along as STC learns about the movements of sea turtles through our Turtle Tracker App. Sea turtles are ancient creatures and are among the most important indicators of the health of the world’s marine and coastal ecosystems. Whether sea turtles ultimately vanish from the planet or whether they remain a wild and thriving part of the natural world, will speak volumes about both the general health of the planet and the ability of humans to sustainably coexist with the diversity of life on Earth. STC, founded in 1959 by world-renowned sea turtle expert Dr. Archie Carr, is the world’s oldest sea turtle research and conservation group. STC works to conserve and recover sea turtle populations through research, education, training of biologists, advocacy and protection of the natural habitats upon which they depend.
