Come On Now! Provider vs 800 TeleMed For Providers Usage & Stats

The Come On Now! Provider app is used by the medical provider to connect to the patient in order to invite, schedule, and confirm patient appointments. It is a revenue generating app that replaces no-show appointments with billable telemedicine visits. The platform solves the real problem of no-shows for both patients and physicians. It is a platform consisting of a dashboard for the office/clinic staff, and an app that can be downloaded from the Apple stores by the patients for free. The dashboard used by the office staff is a view of the appointments schedule for the doctor for a specific day. This view is populated automatically and in real-time from the scheduling platform the office uses, be it an Electronic Medical Record (EMR), a scheduling tool, or other. From this view, the staff can create/modify the clinic’s profile (address, contact info, and most importantly the “no-show” time period after which an appointment is considered a no-show), check-in patients, track patients scheduling statuses (early & checked-in), create a new appointment, and update the schedule. The power and innovation of the platform lies in the “no-show” feature. If an appointment is not marked as “checked-in” or “early”, and after the passage of the “no-show” time period specified in the clinic’s profile, the appointment will automatically be marked as a “no-show appointment”. Here, the system will have a pre-compiled list of opt-in patients with up-coming appointments, and patients that need to see the doctor but couldn’t because of scheduling limitations. Through the app, the system will send a notification alert to all of the patients on the list that the doctor is available for a telemedicine or phone visit. The first patient to accept the invitation, will get connected to the doctor. It can also be sent to individual patients, if he or she declines, the system will move to the next patient on the list, automatically without any extra work to the office staff at all. This way, health care is provided continuously to patients who need it but couldn’t get on the schedule, and at the same time providers will not lose revenue due to no-show appointments. We believe it will also mitigate double and triple-booking in offices, with all the frustrations that come from such practices.

800 TeleMed™ Simply defined telemedicine allows healthcare providers to communicate with a patients using technology, as opposed to physically seeing patients in a doctor's office or hospital. With telemedicine, you can discuss symptoms, medical issues, and more with patients in real time using video, online portals, and email. Using telemedicine, you can provide a diagnosis, treatment options, and issue a prescription. In cases where it’s necessary, healthcare providers can even monitor readings from medical devices remotely to keep an eye on the condition of patients. Telemedicine isn’t appropriate for emergency situations like heart attack or stroke, cuts or lacerations, or broken bones that require X-rays, splints, or casts. Anything that requires immediate, hands-on care should be handled in person. However, telemedicine is very useful for simple issues and follow-up consultations. For instance, if a patient suspects that a cut may be infected, they can schedule a virtual consultation with a healthcare provider to discuss their symptoms. If a patient is on vacation and thinks they are coming down with strep throat, they can communicate with a healthcare provider. If they need birth control medication, they can get a same-day prescription. It’s helpful for a variety of other health issues including psychotherapy and tele-dermatology, which offers consultations of moles, rashes, etc. Colds and flu, insect bites, sore throats, diarrhea, and pink eye are some other common issues addressed using telemedicine. 800 TeleMed™ helps to overcome barriers of communication, access, and collecting clinical data.
