Technology in the form of Swachhata App played a phenomenal role in empowering citizens to engage with local government – around 24+ million Swachhata related complaints have been posted across Indian with a phenomenal resolution rate of 93%. A brand-new addition to Swachhata Technology Platform is the Swachhata Councillor App – aimed at bringing local elected representatives into the eco system of Swachhata. This innovative tool will empower Municipal Councillors to work with citizens and engineers to resolve issues pertaining to sanitation and solid waste management. The Swachhata Councillor App has many features designed to understand the nature of the complaints, data analytics to identify root causes and long-term solutions and a live picture of where citizens need most help so that they can make their ward better for all citizens of the ward.
