24 Magic Months vs RLEMH Usage & Stats
The first two years of your baby’s life are the most important for their growth and development, It’s a very special time and, while it can be hard going at times, this free App developed by Public Health, Liverpool City Council will help to make magic moments and mark every incredible milestone. The 24 Magic Months app was created to guide parents and carers through this time with trusted and consistent advice from healthcare professionals and parents, helping parents to keep up to date with what to expect at each stage of a child’s development.
The advice and information in the app is split into nine topics:
• Social and emotional development
• Physical development
• Learning and play
• Speech and language development
• Feeding
• Bonding and attachment
• Behaviour
• Sleep
• Parental health and wellbeing
Child development topics are split into age groups for example from birth to three months and from 12 – 18 months. This means that information is shown on the app that is relevant to the childs’ age and stage of development, saving parents time and effort hunting around for information via other sources. The app also allows for developmental milestones to be tracked and acknowledged in the app. Once a child reachs a milestone such as ‘the first wave’ or ‘first step’, this can marked on the app as complete and a record of this achievement is saved. Should they choose to parents can also attach a picture of the child achieving that milestone - a lovely reminder of what the child has achieved so far.
Parents can add multiple children’s profiles (up to the age of two years) and switch between them to receive the most relevant information for the child’s age. Should parents take up the option, notifications will be delivered at a time that it’s applicable to that child’s phase of development.
