When you take the scriptures seriously, it will change your life. The impact of the Bible is counter cultural everywhere in the world. Being a Biblically based believer in Jesus Christ alters your worldview and thinking. Being serious about the Bible will not be popular with your friends, possibly your family, and at times, your government. The Bible is unsafe because it will cause changes in you to take place, and people will see that in you. A Biblical worldview is one of nonconformity. The culture, at times, embraces ideas and ways of living that do not exactly conform to what a careful reading of the Bible says. This is really not new. Historically, a Biblical worldview has always been countercultural to the world's way of thinking and doing. Due to that, a Biblically based worldview may be perceived as dangerous, upsetting, backwards, and evil.
