BWH Arthritis vs Rheumatoid Arthritis [RA] Usage & Stats
The Brigham and Women's Hospital Arthritis PRO Application (BWH Arthritis PRO App) enables individuals to keep track of their Psoriatic Arthritis symptoms between regular clinic visits via brief PRO questionnaires. Answers to the PRO questionnaires are available to the patient's care team and the patient can view trends on their own symptoms through the App. This App is part of a currently enrolling research study and is not meant to replace professional clinical care. All participants must receive continuing care from a physician at BWH to be a part of this research study. Registration to the platform requires a verified email address and agreement to the BWH Arthritis PRO App Terms of Services.
Physicians are able to view the PRO questionnaire through the electronic health record, facilitating improved communication regarding patient symptoms. However, physicians are not required to use any information from this study in evaluating and managing the patient’s arthritis. Based on the trends in the PRO questionnaires, the App may suggest to physicians that some visits can safely be delayed and other visits should be earlier.
If participants want to speak to their physicians, they should call them directly and/or set up a clinic visit. platform requires a verified email address and agreement to the BWH RA PRO App Terms of Services.
Goals:
1. Symptom Monitoring: The App enables Psoriatic Arthritis patients to track symptoms between clinic visits using brief PRO questionnaires.
2. Care Team Connectivity: The App facilitates seamless communication by integrating patient responses into the electronic health record, ensuring that the patient’s care team stays informed.
3. Complement Clinical Care: The App complements, not replaces, professional clinical care, serving as a valuable tool for enhanced monitoring.
