DAARC Lite emphasizes the use of; 1) the Vortex cognitive aid, 2) nasal oxygenation, 3) waveform ETCO2 capnography, 4) elevated head of bed and 5) supraglottic airways during emergent airway management. Additionally, it trains learners to optimally manage airways during ALS events and to identify when a percutaneous cricothyrotomy technique may be required to rescue a failed airway event. The game uses scenarios set in virtual Out of OR Airway Management (OOORAM) setting including; emergency rooms, intensive care units, and inpatient hospital settings.
