Global Strength vs Barbell Medicine Usage & Stats
The Global Strength App brings together evidence-based nutrition and training to make getting strong and achieving your goals easier.
Nutrition Section: the app leverages science and evidence-based calorie and macro calculations, meal planning and tracking with integrated USDA Food Data base. A bar code scanner makes tracking packaged goods simple. Observe trends in body weight to determine if adjustments are needed on nutrition. Every 7 days the app will dynamically recommend nutrition adjustments to assist in meeting your goals. Perfect adherence to the plan is not required as the app will use what you actually track, and your weight trends to make adjustments.
Training Section: the app can auto-generate resistance training routines based on some of the most effective exercises. The app can be used to log workouts, view logs, and observe trends to determine if progressive overload is being achieved. Allowing the app to give weight recommendations to keep within a rep target or while periodizing your routine. All exercises have links to expert form videos as reference. Additional items to assist you during your training include one rep max calculator, plate math calculator, in workout notes, previous logs, and track reps in reserve (RIR).
This is just the beginning. Future: combining training with nutrition will enable data analytics to be performed across those 2 disciplines. Advanced nutrition and advanced training feature including reverse dieting, and full automated periodization/autoregulation coming soon.
