BLEASS Granulizer vs Silo - Granulator and Reverb Usage & Stats

BLEASS Granulizer generates short samples (‘grains’) from different input signals by modulating different parameters which you can visualize thanks to a 3D Visualizer: - Volume - Pan (represented by width in the visualizer) - Size ( = grain’s duration) - Density ( = frequency of grains generation) - Offset ( = the amount of time between record and play represented by the depth in the 3D visualizer) - Backward/Forward Playback Direction - Shape ( = grain’s envelope, represented by the height dimension in the visualizer) - Warmth ( = strength of the distortion applied to the grain) - Tune ( = grains can be pitched up or down according to different modes: “Fine” / Chromatic / Major / Minor / 5th / Major 7th. / Minor 7th / Octave) The amount of randomization can be set with the “dice” knobs. Density, grain size and offset range can be freely synced or beat synced to the host’s tempo. Touching and holding the visualizer modifies pan and density. BLEASS Granulizer takes up to 4 sources from different busses as inputs (compatible host required). When multiple busses are on, each grain is randomly extracted from one of the available sources. Check out www.bleass.com for video tutorials and more info! * PLEASE NOTE: this is an Audio Unit Effect plugin (AUv3) which requires a compatible host such as AUM, Audiobus, GarageBand, Cubasis, BM3 and Auria. Multi-bus compatible hosts (AUM & apeMatrix) also allow you to use the audio routing feature. You can also use the BLEASS Granulizer as a standalone App using headphones, a mic or an external sound card.

"In short, there’s oodles of scope here for sound designers and anyone who makes more experimental styles of music, whether EDM, chill or ambient." -SoundOnSound Unfiltered Audio's Silo is now available on iOS as a Standalone app or AUv3 plugin! Silo combines granular synthesis, audio spatialization, and reverb into a powerful, essential tool for sound designers and musicians everywhere. Silo combines microscopic granulation with macroscopic reverb tails to extract new realms from your existing sounds. Silo's first section, the granulator, breaks the incoming signal to tiny little bits (called "grains") before reconstructing it with massive amounts of control. You can change the speed and pitch of the signal independently and in real-time! These grains are then sent to Silo's unique spatializer, which throws the grains all over the stereo field. The spatializer contains a number of motion algorithms to add trajectory to your grains, such as the orbital "Moons", the shooting "Meteors", or the squirmy "Biological". After using this spatializer, you'll never want to use a traditional auto-panner ever again. Finally, the signal washes through one of Silo's many reverb algorithms, from small, resonant spaces to enormous, booming voids. From "Bokeh" to "Nebula", each mode can be tweaked to frame your sound perfectly. As an AUv3 plugin, Silo has been tested to work perfectly with Garageband, Drambo, AUM, Cubasis, Beatmaker, Nanostudio, apeMatrix, Loopy Pro, and more! Additionally, with its clear layout and smart resizing, Silo can be used on tablets and phones with ease.
