Human Rights Academy vs UNdata Usage & Stats
Amnesty’s Human Rights Academy offers a wide variety of human rights courses in more than 20 languages. Every single one is available for free through this app. These range in length from 15 minutes to 15 hours, and many offer an official Amnesty International certificate upon successful completion.
The Academy is training a new generation of human rights defenders - strengthening the human rights movement through action-oriented education. The courses will equip you with knowledge about human rights and will encourage you to take action on different human rights issues. Various human rights topics are covered, including freedom of expression, an introduction to human rights, indigenous peoples’ rights, the right to freedom from torture, digital security and human rights, and many more. You can complete the courses at your own pace, free of cost, just by registering on the platform. No prior knowledge of human rights is required.
Courses can also be downloaded to your device through this app. After you download a course while connected to Wi-Fi, you can learn on the go without using any data.

UNdata app is a free app produced by the United Nations that gives users portable access to a compilation of key statistical indicators organised into 4 sections: general information, economic indicators, social indicators, and environment and infrastructure indicators. The information is provided for 30 geographical regions and over 200 countries and areas of the world. With a simple and easy to use interface, this app enables users to quickly find each profile.
The latest version of the UNdata app is based on the 2022 edition of the United Nations World Statistics Pocketbook and contains data as of July 2022. The indicators have been collected from more than 20 international statistical sources compiled regularly by the Statistics Division and the Population Division of the United Nations, the statistical services of the United Nations, specialized agencies and other international organizations and institutions.
The app is multilingual with the option to present the information in one of the following languages: English, French and Spanish.
