The City of Paris is offering you the chance to travel back in time to Paris during the French Revolution through its many vestiges and symbols still visible from this period, a major turning point in the history of France and its capital.
The Parcours Révolution will guide you in the discovery of 16 neighborhoods and more than 120 sites linked to this founding era and its major figures, either famous or sometimes forgotten, who made history.
Created upon the Council of Paris’s initiative and in collaboration with the City of Paris’s Historical Commission, , this mobile app was designed by a research committee and historians specializing in this period.
The mobile app proposes:
- 16 Parisian neighborhoods to explore
- More than 120 sites to visit
- More than 100 historical figures to discover from the French Revolution
- More than 500 artworks and images illustrating the events from this period
- A complete bibliography on the French Revolution
- A general and detailed chronology for each neighborhood
- The possibility to save your favorite sites and historical figures

You can also choose the route of the masterpieces so as not to miss any essential works from this museum retracing the history of Paris from prehistoric times to the present day.

The Carnavalet - History of Paris museum is the oldest museum in the City of Paris. It is located in the heart of the Marais, one of the districts of the capital where the architectural heritage is particularly well preserved. After 4 years of work it reopens in 2021.
