The City of Paris is offering you the chance to travel back in time to Paris during the French Revolution through its many vestiges and symbols still visible from this period, a major turning point in the history of France and its capital.
The Parcours Révolution will guide you in the discovery of 16 neighborhoods and more than 120 sites linked to this founding era and its major figures, either famous or sometimes forgotten, who made history.
Created upon the Council of Paris’s initiative and in collaboration with the City of Paris’s Historical Commission, , this mobile app was designed by a research committee and historians specializing in this period.
The mobile app proposes:
- 16 Parisian neighborhoods to explore
- More than 120 sites to visit
- More than 100 historical figures to discover from the French Revolution
- More than 500 artworks and images illustrating the events from this period
- A complete bibliography on the French Revolution
- A general and detailed chronology for each neighborhood
- The possibility to save your favorite sites and historical figures

Let the museum visit companion guide you in discovering the Museum of the Liberation
of Paris – Museum of General Leclerc – Jean Moulin Museum! It includes:
- Two chronological pathways adapted to the time you have available for your visit
- Comments on the key items in the pathways
- A map to show you where you are at all times in the new museum!
- All the useful information you need to prepare your visit
- Access to the online collections for a more in-depth approach.
This app is designed for all audiences, as well as for teachers who would like to prepare a
visit to the museum for a school group.
The chronological visit presents the actions of Jean Moulin and Philippe de Hauteclocque in
the period between the wars in France, the collapse of the country in June 1940, the
Occupation, the interior Resistance and the fighting that continued until France was
liberated, with Paris as its strongest symbol.
The “Liberation of Paris Museum” app will be frequently updated with new contents. Please
